The Trash Talk

"A personal way of giving back to our forts"

The Trash Talk is not an organisation or a formal movement. It is simply what happens when Kedar Patankar, along with friends and family, chooses to spend time caring for the forts that have shaped our history. What began as a personal effort to clean plastic waste during fort visits slowly grew into a shared habit — showing up regularly, cleaning responsibly, and leaving these historic spaces better than they were found.

There are no memberships, no banners, and no campaigns. Just people who believe that enjoying heritage also comes with responsibility. Through monthly cleanups, The Trash Talk focuses on removing plastic waste from historic forts and ensuring it is disposed of responsibly, while spreading awareness about respectful and conscious tourism.

At its core, The Trash Talk is about mindset, loving history enough to protect it, and proving that meaningful change doesn’t always need an organisation, just intention and action.
